Explosives Limited is a Rs. 600 million company and is one of the major manufacturers of the entire range of Explosives and Accessories in India. PEL was established in 1980 and is the first manufacturer in India to deploy totally indigenous technology. |
PEL today has the widest range of products and technologies in the manufacture of Explosives & Accessories. These include Emulsion and Slurry explosives, LD cartridge explosives, Bulk Explosives, Small-dia non-permitted explosives, Permitted explosives, Cast Boosters, Pillow-packs for secondary blasting; Detonating Fuse of various core-loads, Plain detonators, Instantaneous Electric Detonators, Electric Delay Detonators, Permitted Detonators, Cord Relays and Amardet NoN Electirc Shock-tube Detonators. |

PEL’s R &D facility is recognized by the Centre for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India, as an established research centre. It is also recognized as a research base for Ph.D. work by the Osmania University, Andhra Pradesh. |
The wide distribution network comprising of magazines Consignment Agents, Dealers and Handling Agents, located across the country, ensure ready stock and prompt delivery to customers even in remote locations. |
There is a team of highly experienced and qualified sales and Technical Service engineers to provide full support on applications, safety and handling of explosives and accessories to customers. This is backed by a team of export mining/blasting engineers at the Technical Services group located at headquarters. |
| Apart from providing regular support services to customers, PEL also undertakes complete drilling & blasting contracts in collaboration with associates having resources of drilling and excavation equipment & manpower. |
MOST PRESTIGEOUS AWARD: |
Defence Technology Absorption Award 2007” by Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence was presented by Dr. Manmohan Singh, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 12th May, 2008. This award entails a cash prize of Rs. 10.00 lakhs. This is the most prestigious award our Company has received as recognition of its contribution in the field of Defence. |

Mr.
A.N. Gupta: Chairman and Managing Director, is the Founder of Premier Explosives Limited. He is a Gold Medallist in Mining Engineering and has won laurels for his professional skills. He is a member of Society of Explosives Engineers, U.S.A., Member of Explosives Development Panel Constituted by Govt. of India. He was Vice Chairman of Explosives Manufacturers Association of India. He has over 40 years experience in Explosives Manufacture, Design & Application. |
Mr.T.V. Chowdhary: Executive Director, Chemical Technologist, with over 26 years of experience in Project execution and production of Petrochemicals, Coal Tar Pitches & Enamels, Explosives, Detonators and Mushroom farming. He is responsible for the entire operations of the Company next to Vice Chairman & Managing Director. |
Mr.K.Chalil: Director (Marketing), is a Mining Engineer, with over 38 years experience in mine management, planning, production in large mechanized open cast mining, quarrying including underground mining. Has rich and wide experience in explosives industry in application of explosives and initiation system, designing of rock blasting pattern, controlled blasting and marketing etc.

Dr.N.V.Srinivasa Rao: Director (Production), Doctorate in Chemistry, with over 24 years of Experience in the field of Explosives & Accessories and chemicals. He has published about 30 papers in various national and international journals. He is a member of High Energy Materials Society of India |
